LaSalle Hotel Properties issued a press release on March 27, 2006 announcing that Chicago 540, LLC, which is LaSalle Hotel Properties’ joint venture with The Carlyle Group, sold the Chicago Marriott Downtown. A copy of such press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.

On March 24, 2006, Chicago 540, LLC, which is LaSalle Hotel Properties’ joint venture with The Carlyle Group, sold the Chicago Marriott Downtown.
