Lisbon, Portugal, 20 February 2006 Pursuant to the terms of subparagraph f) of article 3 of the CMVMs (Portuguese Securities Market Commission) Regulation no. 04/2004, Portugal Telecom announced today that Peter Golob has resigned as a non-executive member of the companys Board of Directors, which will become effective, as in accordance with the Portuguese Companies Code, at the end of March 2006.
