(d) On April 10, 2007, W. Alan McCollough was elected a director of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (the "Company"). His term will expire at the 2008 Annual Meeting of Shareholders. Mr. McCollough has been named a member of the Audit Committee and Governance Committee. Mr. McCollough will receive the compensation for non-employee directors described in the Company’s Proxy Statement filed March 9, 2007.

A copy of the news release issued by the Company on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, announcing the election of Mr. McCollough is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
