On August 27, 2004 Caesars Entertainment, Inc. ("Caesars") and Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. ("Harrah's") issued a joint press release announcing that they received a Request for Additional Information from the Federal Trade Commission pursuant to the notification requirements of the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, in connection with the previously announced acquisition of Caesars by Harrah's. A copy of the joint press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
