Robert McGuiness is a California-based author who was born in New York. He is involved in woodland restoration, biodynamics, and growing lilies. He enjoys music and is currently studying piano.

California-based author Robert McGuiness has released a new book titled “The Attenuating Puritan,” taking readers on a motivating journey revolving around a very real current issue of environmental degradation.

The Attenuating Puritan” sees an altruistic hero “dancing under the world’s weight” with “an unwavering conviction”, as the book description points out.

The hero is on a noble quest of restoring the splendor of Eden. “His every gesture is a sacrifice, a stride towards the pristine and divine,” the author explained.

While struggling with adversities, the protagonist is forced to deal with the “shackles of mind and body.” The book description adds:

“He is the champion of tainted sacraments, a crusader against the clutches of heavy metal and forever chemicals, hinting that our destinies might be cradled in such hands. As we tread the path of love eternal, each step taken is righteous, a gentle move towards the boundless cosmos that binds us in love.”

Published by Austin Macauley Publishers, "The Attenuating Puritan" is 120+ pages long and is available in paperback, hardcover, and Kindle editions. So far, the book has garnered positive reviews, with a rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars among readers on Amazon.

“The book skillfully addresses pressing environmental issues, corporate responsibility, and governmental oversight while maintaining an engaging storyline,” a verified reader stated on the Amazon website.

“McGuiness's direct writing style makes complex topics accessible, and the book's brevity enhances its impact. While the religious undertones may not resonate with all readers, ‘The Attenuating Puritan’ ultimately challenges us to reconsider our role in environmental stewardship and the power of individual action. Highly recommended.”

Robert McGuinness was born in Bay Shore, NY, graduating from Smithtown Central High School in 1972.

After high school, the author went west to Arizona and ultimately settled in California in 1976. He was actively involved in the "back to land" movement and homesteaded off the grid in the northern part of the state. He has two children and three grandchildren.

Robert is currently involved with an Oak Restoration project. He is an associate of the Josephine Porter Institute for Applied Biodynamics and a member of the North American Lily Society.

Dedicating the book to his children and grandchildren, McGuinness said in the book's introduction, "To all the children of the world, for you belong to this. And to all the future generations, for this belongs to you."
