XLU, MATL: Big ETF Outflows

Turning today to week-over-week shares outstanding changes among the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the largest outflow was seen in the Utilities Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLU), which shed 4,850,000 shares, or a 2.7% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of XLU, in morning trading today Southern Company (SO) is trading flat, and Exelon Corporation (EXC) is lower by about 1.5%.
