February 22, 2018 – Los Angeles-based startup entrepreneurs Aryan Sarbaz and Chuck McCarthy, co-founders of The People Walker, have launched ThePeopleWalker.com, creating an online service network of over 20 "walkers" covering the greater Los Angeles area. With the support of their core startup team, Arielle Cortese, Eamonn Pascal, and Randy Horowitz, they are working to expand this network of walkers and develop a mobile app with more functionality and biometric tracking.

"We have come a long way since I started walking people," says founder Chuck McCarthy, who has been the subject of constant media attention since several videos about The People Walker went viral last year. He has been profiled by media outlets such as The Guardian, Reader's Digest, and People, and has appeared on nationally and internationally syndicated programs such as Michaela, Galileo, The Doctors, Today Australia, and Al Arabiya Today. "When I started The People Walker by advertising with fliers on telephone poles, I never thought it would get the kind of media attention it has. I just wanted to prove the concept, but now, with the help of Ary, the concept is becoming reality," McCarthy says.

The People Walker is an online platform that connects people with walkers. Conversation, coupled with low impact cardio are the major benefits of walking with a walker. "Our goal is to create positive life momentum through movement and new connections," Sarbaz says, "We want to use technology to connect people instead of isolating us from each other."

Sarbaz was a founding partner of a successful boutique civil litigation law firm in Beverly Hills and has worked with several startups prior to The People Walker. He first learned about The People Walker watching one of McCarthy's viral videos. "It really just delivers everything we need as humans: exercise, interaction, and nature. It's crazy how we take those simple pleasures for granted these days." Sarbaz is focused on using his experience to streamline The People Walker business model and bring a mobile version of the service to market as soon as possible.
