Comcast Business an official partner of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), today announced extended partnerships with Scott Hamilton and Jim Craig as Comcast Business Olympic Legends.

“We’re proud to support these legendary athletes during the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 and beyond,” said Bill Stemper, President, Comcast Business. “Olympic winners and losers are often decided in a fraction of a second; every moment matters. At Comcast Business, we’ve built a network with the performance, speed and reliability needed to ensure our customers have world-class connectivity and solutions to power the moments that matter for their business – now and in the future. No one represents these attributes more than Scott and Jim.”

Comcast Business is proud to serve businesses of all sizes across America, and support the incredible athletes the entire country cheered on in their pursuit of gold. The Comcast Business Olympic Legends include:

  • Scott Hamilton – The most recognized male figure skating star in the world, and figure skating’s voice of authority in the U.S., Scott Hamilton captured the attention of the world with his Olympic Gold medal performances in Saravejo in 1984. Since then, he has shared his love and enthusiasm for the sport as an analyst, performer, producer and best-selling author (Landing It, 1999; The Great Eight, 2009 and his newest, Finish First: Winning Changes Everything, released February 6, 2018.) He further inspires others as a speaker, humanitarian, and as a cancer and pituitary brain tumor survivor. Scott currently heads the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation and the Scott Hamilton Skating Academy.
  • Jim Craig – Jim Craig is an American ice hockey goaltender who was part of the U.S. hockey team that won the gold medal during the 1980 Olympics at Lake Placid, New York. The American victory in the hockey tournament, known as the “miracle on ice,” was one of the greatest surprises in the history of the Olympics. Craig, who started every game in goal, was a leading figure in the team’s success. Following the Olympics, Craig played in the NHL for the Atlanta Flames, Boston Bruins, and Minnesota North Stars. Today, Jim is the President and Owner of Gold Medal Strategies, a motivational speaking and training company. Jim can be found online via FacebookTwitter and Instagram.

“I am very grateful for the opportunity to partner with Comcast in their role as a United States Olympic Committee sponsor. Comcast is a company like no other. Through their platforms, our athletes have access to the most cutting-edge technology to help prepare them to bring their best performances. And Comcast's sponsorship funding allows them to concentrate on their sport first. Spectators benefit as well, through Comcast’s vast array of viewing options. As an Olympian, I personally understand the enormous need for technology and funding, and am honored to be associated with Comcast’s commitment to excellence,” said Scott Hamilton.

“It is such an honor to partner with Comcast Business, they are true professionals. Their commitment to excellence is shown through their dependable network with high speed, performance, and reliability. Their partnership with the USOC through 2020 allows athletes to live out their dreams and allows fans to feel like we are part of their journey,” said Jim Craig.
