The FDA's nicotine stain: Juul isn't only culprit in teen e-cigarette smoking epidemic

FDA commissioner Scott Gottlieb received high marks this week for calling teenage use of e-cigarettes like Juul an 'epidemic,' but in pointing the finger at makers of addictive nicotine vaping products, the FDA neglected a key contributor to the new national health crisis: itself. Watchdog groups, including the American Lung Association and American Heart Association and Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids, say the FDA is still falling far short of actions it should have taken years ago.
