First breaking out in 2013 with their Platinum-selling, No. 1 hit, “Girl In A Country Song,” the award-winning duo is back with new music. Their new single, “Friends Don’t,” “anchored around their stellar vocal pairings and some of the tightest harmonies on Music Row” (Rolling Stone), is giving fans a taste of what to expect from their highly anticipated forthcoming sophomore album. The pair has also been tapped to join Carrie Underwood’s 2019 Cry Pretty Tour 360.

“What the CSX Santa Train has done for 75 years is incredible, and we’re so excited to be part of it this year,” said Maddie & Tae. “We can’t wait to pass out toys and help spread a bit of Christmas cheer.”

Each year since 1942, CSX’s Santa Train has embarked on a journeyfrom Shelby, Ky., to Kingsport, Tenn., to spread holiday cheer, passing out gifts to families in cities along the route. The Santa Train makes 14 stops in Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee, delivering toys, food and winter clothing to hundreds of residents along the way. Maddie & Tae will accompany Santa Claus and event sponsors CSX, Food City, Kingsport Chamber of Commerce, Appalachian Power and Soles 4 Souls on the 110-mile trek.

“We always look forward to announcing our special guests, and having Maddie & Tae on the train will be a special treat for those along the route,” said Bryan Tucker, vice president of CSX Corporate Communications. “They are having a great year, and we are thrilled they could take time out of their schedule to be part of the event.”
