AMESBURY, Mass. - Jan. 11, 2019 - PRLog -- InventiveLabs, LLC, a research lab and business incubator, kicks off its third annual Pitch Competition with an information session Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 21 Water Street in Amesbury, MA at 6:00 pm.
For the first time, InventiveLabs is offering the chance for innovative businesses to win a cash investment of $100,000, as well as other prizes. Additionally, eight finalists will be selected to participate in a no-cost nine-week Accelerator Program. The Accelerator will assist participants in building investor-ready pitch decks, offer mentorship, and provide networking opportunities with leading entrepreneurs and business experts in preparation for the final competition.
Those attending the January 24th event will hear from the Lab's co-founders Rick Fiery and Tom Bergeron, serial entrepreneurs who launched successful global multimillion-dollar companies in the computer software space and who have raised millions in venture funding. They wish to share their expertise with up-and-coming entrepreneurs who can embrace their mission of opening doors for individuals with learning differences. They believe these creative thinkers bring new perspectives and talents that can be game-changers for companies.
"Our Pitch Competition provides the resources and support applicants need to either get their current business to the next level, or get their start-up ideas off the ground and on solid footing from the beginning," said Bergeron. "After nine weeks of coaching, they will present to an investment committee panel that will select winners based on their business plan, members' skills and background, ability to execute, and the potential for the company's success and growth."
