Prince Castle Announces Green Power Partnership

Prince Castle, Inc. is committed to the ongoing development of renewable assets (wind and solar) to help reduce the carbon footprint from the use of fossil fuels and to help create a cleaner, more sustainable future for generations to come.

CAROL STREAM, Ill. - April 22, 2019 - (Newswire.com)

Prince Castle, a Marmon/Berkshire Hathaway Company, is pleased to announce its Green Power Partnership with MidAmerican Energy services (also known as Berkshire Energy company) and purchased 100% renewable energy credits as part of its electric supply agreement for Carol Stream, Illinois.

“Today, renewable power is not only cleaner but also safer and affordable,” says Donald Sweeney, Vice President. “We at Prince Castle are proud of our partnership with MidAmerica Energy services and is committed to meeting the challenge to deliver clean energy while raising awareness as an environmental steward.”

By making this investment, Prince Castle, Inc. is committed to the ongoing development of renewable assets (also known as wind and solar) to help reduce the carbon footprint from the use of fossil fuels and to help create a cleaner, more sustainable future for generations to come.

The purchase or use of renewable energy credits ensures the electricity provided to Prince Castle is from a renewable source that produces zero emissions. As the physical electricity received through the utility grid says nothing of its origin or how it was generated, renewable energy credits play an essential role in accounting and assigning ownership to the attributes of renewable electricity generation and its use. Renewable energy credits legally convey the attributes of renewable electricity generation, including the emissions profile of that generation. The renewable energy credit serves as a title to promote the use of renewable energy sources and actively encourage the development of environmentally friendly technologies.
