Palladium Positive Impact Summit to Drive Lasting Change

Global impact firm Palladium’s annual summit on June 25, 2019 will bring together leaders from the private sector, government, and finance to address the impact movement’s most pressing challenge: how to implement large-scale projects at scale in a way that’s profitable and sustainable.

The theme this year is “Impact at Scale,” with a practical focus on building truly collaborative partnerships between companies, governments, and impact investors that go beyond CSR and philanthropy.

Celebrated author and Harvard Business School Professor George Serafeim — whose course, “Reimagining Capitalism,” has won multiple awards — will kick off the event with a keynote address on the concept of “Inclusive Growth.” Dr. Serafeim will explore the business opportunities in achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, and challenge corporations to rethink their roles as drivers of lasting commercial and social impact.

Leading voices from the corporate world will include Bechara Chouchair, SVP & Chief Community Health Officer at Kaiser Permanente, and Juan Gonzalez Valero, Head of Sustainable & Responsible Business at Syngenta.

Panel moderators will include Dr. Robert S. Kaplan, developer of the Balanced Scorecard and Senior Fellow, Emeritus, at Harvard Business School, and ImpactAlpha CEO David Bank.

Fast Company Editor-in-Chief Stephanie Mehta will be the master of ceremonies at the event. Mehta is one of the most influential women in journalism and her experience as a business editor with a strong focus on technology will bring a fresh perspective to the challenges faced by organizations looking to scale their inclusive growth strategies.

“Fast Company has long been a chronicler of the intersection of business and social impact, and we’re constantly on the lookout for companies and institutions that are deploying solutions that are innovative, scalable, and sustainable,” Mehta says. “I am looking forward to spending the day digging into the most promising and cutting-edge ideas at the Positive Impact Summit and engaging with the compelling speakers Palladium has lined up.”

“We know that organizations are struggling to meet their sustainability commitments, and governments need private capital to achieve the SDGs,” says Palladium CEO Christopher Hirst. “At this year’s summit, we’re getting practical about implementation, moving large scale projects from strategy, to pilot, to execute at scale. I’m excited about the caliber of speakers we have joining us. I know that our event will lead to actionable solutions that move the needle toward sustainable, inclusive growth in a measurable way.”

Tickets are selling fast, but it's not too late to secure your seat. Register now and don’t miss out on your chance to join Stephanie Mehta, Dr. George Serafeim, and a host of experts as they share tools, approaches, and case studies that truly move the needle toward sustainable and inclusive growth. This event will be held at the Westin New York in Times Square.
