Worker pay and benefits growing at slower pace, ECI shows, in another sign of ebbing inflation

The cost to businesses of employing American workers rose at a slower pace in the second quarter, offering more evidence that labor costs are not adding much to inflation. The employment cost index rose 0.6% in the second quarter.
