The Avamere Family of Companies welcomed Andrew Loomis, Director of Labor & Employee Relations, in August 2019.
This is a new position in the company as part of the team’s People Priority.
As part of Loomis’ role, he will build relationships with unions in Avamere Living communities and assist in ensuring the company uses a consistent and fair process in solving issues and concerns.
“Andrew is going to define for the greater organization how we go about escalating issues and concerns, and that our leaders are well trained, and that we’re aligned in how we deal with things so we’re fair and we’re equitable,” said Dale Fruehauf, Vice President of Human Resources for the Avamere Family of Companies.
Employee relations can have different meanings, according to Fruehauf. One of these focuses is developing leaders to provide proactive performance reviews and direction for their teams.
“This is absolutely core to what we’re doing,” Fruehauf noted about Loomis’ role.
With nine years of experience in the healthcare industry, Loomis reported he is pleased be back in the field.
