Experity Names Kernie Brashier Chief Technology Officer

Experity, the leading provider of electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management (PM) software to power the patient-centered healthcare revolution in the urgent care space, announced today it has named Kernie Brashier Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He brings more than 15 years of experience in healthcare processing, most recently serving as CTO of Payspan, Inc., a leading provider of healthcare reimbursement and payment automation services.

“Experity has been on my radar for a while now as an organization that prides itself on both collaboration with and the success of their clients,” said Brashier. “I am very excited to join a team that exhibits genuine excitement about and commitment to the company mission, hyper-focused on optimizing the patient experience through on-demand care.”

In his role, Brashier will leverage his leadership, technical expertise and industry knowledge to define Experity’s technology vision and implement strategies to ensure Experity’s engineering resources are aligned with the company’s mission and goals.

As CTO of Payspan, Brashier redesigned and deployed the largest project in company history over an eight-month period. His work resulted in 2.5 million users processing over $100 billion in provider and patient payments and brought resolution to a project the company had been working on for years.

“We are very happy to have someone with Kernie’s experience in healthcare and leadership qualities join our team,” said Dr. David Stern, Experity CEO. “As on-demand care and patient expectations continue to evolve, Kernie’s expertise in maximizing technology offerings will play a key role in helping our customers fulfill those patient expectations and position them for success.”

Prior to Payspan, he was Chief Operating Officer (COO) of CaptureRx, a healthcare technology company specializing in solutions for the 340B Drug Pricing Program which serves more than 500 hospitals and health centers in 45 states. He also served as CTO of the Waystar company Navicure, which earned a “Best in KLAS” recognition under his watch in 2012.
