SoftBank created a minority-focused fund, but diversity has not been part of its larger vision

SoftBank's $100 million Opportunity Fund for minority-owned businesses is one of the first large funds created in response to nationwide protests sparked by the killing of George Floyd. But it's about 0.1% the size of SoftBank's Vision Fund, which has made few investments in companies run by black founders or women.
