CYPHER LEARNING Releases Unique Activity Display Feature for its Learning Platforms to Empower a Sense of Community

CYPHER LEARNING, provider of best-in-class learning platforms for schools, universities, and organizations around the world, recently announced the release of a unique Activity display feature for its learning management systems (LMS).

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, July 01, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- CYPHER LEARNING, provider of best-in-class learning platforms for schools, universities, and organizations around the world, recently announced the release of a unique Activity display feature for its learning management systems (LMS).

CYPHER LEARNING has three products: NEO LMS for Schools and Universities, MATRIX LMS for Businesses, and INDIE LMS for Entrepreneurs. CYPHER LEARNING is currently the only company that offers learning management systems in all major e-learning sectors: academic, corporate, and entrepreneurs. The platforms have received numerous awards and recognitions, are used by over 20,000 organizations, and are available in 40+ languages.

As most schools and organizations are now practising distance learning and remote training, it can be a challenge to keep learners of all ages engaged in learning activities. Social interaction happens at considerably lower rates and this may make both learners and instructors feel isolated and unmotivated to go through online courses.

To help solve this problem, CYPHER LEARNING released a new Activity display feature for its products, which is an innovative concept that makes the platforms feel that they're alive, by emphasizing a sense of community and making the learning experience more interactive.

Through pulsating activity indicators, users can see in real-time on their dashboard the most active courses, groups, and learning paths. For example, when learners log in, they can look at the pulsating lights on the course tiles and immediately know the courses where there is a lot of activity.

The new activity widget shows users live updates on what other users are doing in various areas of the platforms. For example, within a course, learners can see updates when a teacher posts to the news feed, when a student submits an assignment, when another student completes a lesson, and more.

Graham Glass, CEO of CYPHER LEARNING said: "We wanted our platforms to give the feeling of a close community. During these times when everyone is learning from home and there isn't that much social interaction, being part of a community is important. Learners are more engaged when they see the presence of other learners and their teachers, and it keeps them interested in learning."

CYPHER LEARNING platforms already had many other functionalities that enhanced the sense of a community, such as being able to see when users are online, live chat, adding users as friends, gamification, collaboration tools, and more.
