Plethora Now ITAR Compliant

Plethora, a technology enabled manufacturing company, today announced company-wide compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

“We’re excited to better serve our customers,” said Jim Quinn, CEO of Plethora. “Some of our customers have been asking for ITAR compliance for a while. This was the right time in our company’s growth, and ITAR made sense for where we are as a business.”

The additional controls required for ITAR compliance help ensure the confidentiality and security of intellectual property throughout Plethora’s business systems. ITAR compliance required changes to everything from the company’s proprietary analysis software, to how it manages scrap material on the factory floor.

Founded in San Francisco in 2013, Plethora currently employs 88 employees throughout the United States. Plethora moved its primary manufacturing to Marietta, GA, in 2019, but retains offices in San Francisco to support technology initiatives and software development.

With ITAR compliance, Plethora is now able to support secure projects both for the federal government and for defense contractors with their technology-enabled, automated approach to manufacturing. In addition to new projects in defense, aerospace, robotics, and automation, Plethora will be able to support custom replacement parts and upgrades for existing field equipment.
