Books-A-Million Announces Pre-order Campaign for Barack Obama’s A Promised Land

Books-A-Million today announced the launch of its pre-order campaign for the first volume of Barack Obama’s Presidential memoir, A Promised Land. The long anticipated volume will be available on November 17 at Books-A-Million stores nationwide as well as online.

“The publication of this first volume of President Obama’s memoir will be the publishing event of 2020,” said Terrance G.Finley, CEO of Books-A-Million. “Our team is poised to assure that our customers are able to reserve their copy for its November 17 release and deliver on our promise that book lovers can’t get it faster anywhere else!”

In the stirring, highly anticipated first volume of his presidential memoirs, Barack Obama tells the story of his improbable odyssey from a young man searching for his identity to the leader of the free world, describing in strikingly personal detail both his political education and the landmark moments of the first term of his historic presidency—a time of dramatic transformation and turmoil.

Obama takes readers on a compelling journey from his earliest political aspirations to the pivotal Iowa caucus victory that demonstrated the power of grassroots activism to the watershed night of November 4, 2008, when he was elected 44th president of the United States, becoming the first African American to hold the nation’s highest office.

A Promised Land will be available as a 768-page hardcover as well as an audiobook read by the author, also available in November. Shipping will be free for both formats for Books-A-Million’s Millionaire’s Club Members.
