Grenell: As Merkel meets with Biden, concern grows over Germany's shift toward Russia, China

As outgoing German Chancellor Angela Merkel meets with President Joe Biden at the White House on Thursday, concern is growing over Berlin's shift away from a “Western-facing” geopolitical alliance and more toward one that is making overtures toward Western rivals Russia and China, according to former U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell.
