Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

Effective January 1, 2018, Elizabeth G. Chambers will cease serving as Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy, Product and Marketing Officer of The Western Union Company (the "Company"). Upon her departure, Ms. Chambers will be eligible for benefits under the Company’s existing Severance/Change in Control Policy (Executive Committee Level), which are described in the Company’s 2017 Proxy Statement. Ms. Chambers intends to pursue board of director opportunities.
