Mirantis Builds Momentum for Kubernetes-Native AI Infrastructure

Company advances open infrastructure strategy with new VMware migration guide, customer deployments, product innovations, and industry conference participation

Mirantis, the Kubernetes-native AI infrastructure company enabling enterprises to build and operate scalable, secure, and sovereign AI infrastructure across any environment, today announced continued momentum that includes industry recognition, customer deployments, product innovations, and participation at upcoming conferences.

"As enterprises confront the complexity of managing AI, container, and virtual machine (VM) workloads, the need for unified, open infrastructure becomes critical," said Dom Wilde, senior vice president of marketing, Mirantis. "We help enterprises accelerate innovation by providing composable full-stack infrastructure solutions that simplify operations and reduce complexity, from Metal-to-Model. Our continued recognition by industry analysts and recent customer deployments underscore Mirantis' role in helping organizations deliver secure, scalable infrastructure with full control and freedom from lock-in."

Recognition

Mirantis was named a Challenger in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Container Management, with the analyst firm acknowledging Mirantis for its ability to execute and completeness of vision.

In addition, The Forrester Wave™: Multicloud Container Platforms, Q3 2025 listed Mirantis as a strong performer in the market segment for AI-focused neo-platform-as-a-service (PaaS) providers Forrester gave Mirantis the highest possible score in Roadmap, Developer Experience, and Supporting Services and Offerings.

Milestones

To support enterprises facing uncertainty in the virtualization market, Mirantis contributed expertise to the OpenInfra Foundation (now part of the Linux Foundation) VMware to OpenStack migration guide. The comprehensive guide offers practical, actionable steps for transitioning away from VMware while maintaining operational continuity and aligning with open infrastructure principles.

Building on its commitment to infrastructure sovereignty, Mirantis partnered with Pico Public Cloud to launch the first sovereign public cloud in Bangladesh. This collaboration delivers a regionally governed, compliant cloud platform for local businesses and institutions.

Mirantis also announced that Netherlands-based cloud provider Nebul has deployed open source k0rdent to deliver on-demand production AI inference workloads. The platform integrates with NVIDIA GPU Operator and Gcore Everywhere Inference to provide scalable, policy-driven AI infrastructure optimized for privacy, sovereignty, and performance.

Product Innovations

The latest release of k0rdent Enterprise introduces a fully-featured graphical user interface (UI), significantly enhancing usability for platform teams. With support for cluster management, observability, and troubleshooting from a single visual dashboard, the UI lowers the barrier to entry and streamlines operations. In addition, the port for accessing the UI is now configurable, offering more control for enterprises.

Also, Lens by Mirantis made available Lens Prism, the first fully-integrated, production-grade artificial intelligence (AI) assistant embedded directly within the Lens integrated development environment (IDE). It enables natural language for troubleshooting and operating Kubernetes clusters so that users can ask questions like:

  • “What’s wrong with my pod?”
  • “How much CPU is this namespace using?”
  • “Is anything failing in my cluster?”

Prism responds with live, actionable insights based on real-time kubectl output, metrics, and logs, and generates ready-to-run commands to help users understand, verify, and resolve issues confidently.

Lens Prism also added a One-Click Amazon Web Services (AWS) Integration that enables users to instantly discover and connect to EKS clusters across accounts and regions without command-line setup or credential management. This streamlines access to cloud infrastructure, simplifies operational workflows, and turns Lens into a centralized platform for managing distributed Kubernetes environments with greater speed and control.

Upcoming Industry Events

Next month, Mirantis will be participating at industry conferences to share insights on building scalable AI infrastructure using open source technologies.
