SixMap Announces Four Key Executive Appointments to Accelerate Growth and Innovation in Preemptive Exposure Management Market

Strategic hires in product, engineering, marketing, and strategy strengthen the leadership team as company scales its exposure management platform

SixMap Inc., a leading preemptive exposure management platform provider that protects some of the world’s largest government and corporate enterprises, today announced four strategic executive appointments to accelerate market growth and product innovation: Marie Ketner as Vice President of Product, Edgardo Vega as Vice President of Engineering, Daniel Pigeon as Director of Product Marketing and Larry Slusser as Vice President of Strategy. These appointments strengthen SixMap's leadership team as it scales its computational mapping technology capable of continuously monitoring hosts across the IPv4 and IPv6 address spaces to deliver comprehensive exposure data to enterprise security teams.

The appointments come as demand for advanced exposure management accelerates amid expanding cyber risk. According to Red Canary’s 2024 Security Operations Trends Report, 73% of security leaders report their attack surface has widened in the past two years, expanding by an average of 77%. Meanwhile, according to the 2025 EY Cybersecurity Study: Bridging the C-suite Disconnect, 66% of CISOs worry that cybersecurity threats are more advanced than their defenses.

"While current tools plague today’s CISOs with incomplete and inaccurate data, SixMap’s advanced computational mapping exposes what others miss," said Jason Kaplan, CEO of SixMap. "Marie, Edgardo, Daniel, and Larry join us at the perfect moment to accelerate our mission to provide comprehensive and precise exposure data to the most security-demanding organizations. Their combined expertise will be instrumental as we scale our go-to-market capabilities and extend a platform that's already protecting Fortune 500 companies and U.S. Federal agencies from the world’s most sophisticated adversaries."

Marie Ketner joins SixMap as Vice President of Product, bringing more than 15 years of experience scaling SaaS platforms across cybersecurity, compliance, and workforce development. Most recently, she served as VP of Product at Second Front Systems, where she led portfolio growth across 90+ B2B accounts and contributed to the advancement of product organization maturity through outcome-focused operations. Previously, she held leadership roles at Cybrary, focusing on product-led growth and enterprise user experience. Marie’s expertise in product-led growth and enterprise UX is recognized in public company profiles and leadership announcements, and is expected to be critical as SixMap expands its platform capabilities.

"SixMap's technology addresses one of cybersecurity's most foundational challenges: complete and accurate data on Internet exposures," said Marie Ketner. "Building products that enable security leaders to see their environments as attackers do represents a paradigm shift in how we approach cyber defense.”

Edgardo Vega steps into the role of Vice President of Engineering at SixMap, bringing over 20 years of experience in software development and technology leadership. He previously served as VP of Engineering at NCYBER and led complex defense and cybersecurity programs at Next Century Corporation, including DARPA projects focused on resilient synchronized planning and media forensics. His expertise in scaling engineering teams and implementing DevSecOps aligns with SixMap’s goal to deliver advanced computational mapping at enterprise scale.

"Most security tools are built on the assumption that you know what you're protecting, but that's exactly the problem," said Edgardo Vega. "SixMap's engineering approach is fundamentally different, as we start with zero assumptions and let the data reveal the truth. Building systems that continuously map the entire internet-facing footprint of an organization, without requiring any input, is the kind of technical challenge that drives real innovation in cybersecurity."

Daniel Pigeon joins as Director of Product Marketing, bringing deep cybersecurity industry expertise from leading security companies. Most recently serving as Senior Product Marketing Manager at Cyberint Technologies until its acquisition by Check Point Software, Daniel established product marketing functions through successful exits. His experience spans attack surface management, threat intelligence, and external risk management—all directly relevant to SixMap's positioning in the ASM market. Daniel holds multiple cybersecurity certifications, including CompTIA Security+, CySA+, and PenTest+.

Larry Slusser joins as Vice President of Strategy and brings extensive cybersecurity leadership and experience in both incident response and cyber risk management. A former Air Force Officer, Larry has built his career responding to and preventing sophisticated cyber attacks through continuous cyber risk assessment, vulnerability monitoring, and mitigation strategies. Most recently at SecurityScorecard, he led their Global Cyber Risk Solutions Team, innovating Scorecard’s MAX offering, a Supply Chain Detection and Response tool. Larry has developed market-leading strategic and tactical roadmaps aligning technical service offerings with customer needs across digital forensics, incident response, and ransomware mitigation. His leadership spans people, process, and practice excellence, developing operational infrastructure and highly skilled global teams that drive cybersecurity innovation.

These appointments support SixMap's expansion following its recent $7 million funding round led by IAG Capital Partners, which brought total funding to $22.05 million. The new capital enables aggressive go-to-market growth as SixMap scales beyond its current base of U.S. Federal agencies and Fortune 500 companies to serve more organizations that cannot afford incomplete visibility across their attack surfaces.
