Election Cybersecurity and Disinformation Among Over 40 Sessions at 11th Annual Billington Cybersecurity Summit

​​​Cybersecurity and disinformation are foremost concerns as the 2020 elections approach. Just 55 days from the elections, the 11th Annual Billington CyberSecurity Summit will feature top experts to discuss election cybersecurity safeguards and disinformation. These speakers will be among the 80+ speakers who will address a host of cybersecurity topics ranging from 5G to Telework Cybersecurity to Supply Chain Security.  

The 11th Annual Billington Cybersecurity Summit will be the first entirely virtual version of the world’s leading government cybersecurity summit. The election security panel will feature Chris Wlaschin, CISO of America’s largest voting machine manufacturer, ES&S; Trevor Timons, CIO of the Department of State of Colorado, which allows all citizens to vote by mail; Matthew Masterson, Senior Cybersecurity Advisor at the DHS. It will be moderated by John DeSimone, Vice President, Cybersecurity, Training and Services, Raytheon Intelligence & Space. Plus a panel on Combatting Disinformation in the 2020 Elections features Peter Singer, Strategist and Senior Fellow, New America and Author, Like War: The Weaponization of Social Media; and Bret Schafer, Media and Digital Disinformation Fellow, Alliance for Securing Democracy. Taking place September 8 and 9, the Summit will offer, alongside the best speakers from the U.S. Federal space, governmental cybersecurity experts from Five Eyes Countries. Speakers include the ambassadors to the U.S. from New Zealand and Australia, Rosemary Banks and Arthur Sinoinos AO, the Australian Defence Force Head of Information Warfare, Major General Marcus Thompson AM, and cybersecurity heads Scott Jones (Canada), Abigail Bradshaw (Australia), Andrew Hampton (New Zealand), and Paul Chichester (U.K.).
