By: Get News

Founded on February 2nd, 2000, Canadian Exploration Services Limited (CXS) is a group of professionals covering the whole exploration process, initial site development, and reclamation. They are a firm in the region surrounding the entire exploration process. They form claim to stake to advanced geophysics, offering a single point of contact and excellent levels of communication during your exploration program. Integration with our experience and expertise ensures that every project is done right, on time, and within budget, by offering a point of contact and an unmatched level of communication during your program.

Speaking about soil sampling, CXS’s spokesperson said, “Soil sampling is the extraction of a small amount of soil for subsequent analysis at assay labs. The results measure the concentration of various metals in the soil, allowing for more focused exploration programs. Soil Samples are mainly fetched and analyzed for various elements through mineral exploration and environmental firms. Interpretations based on the results will direct an exploration enterprise to the bedrock source of the soil anomaly or can lead to the recommendation and implementation of a site remediation plan by an environmental company. In mineral exploration, ‘soil’ samples are typically collected from a specific soil horizon (horizon-based sampling), such as a humus layer (H-horizon), a B-horizon soil, or a C-horizon soil. The various layers allow for more targeted exploration for certain metals or act as a pathfinder for some deposit types.”

If you’re wondering what channel sampling is in geology, CXS has explained it to you. Channel samples contain small chips of rock collected over a specified linear interval. The goal is to cut a linear channel across the vein or ore body for the most representative samples possible over the given interval. In most cases, chip channel samples are collected in succession along a sample line given in advance with a measuring tape designed to cross the area of interest. The chip channel samples are often collected along surface trenches or the floors or walls of various underground workings. Sample intervals are kept at a specified width, ranging between 1 to 20 feet, mainly 5 feet. This allows a representative sample to be found as the sample is not biased.

The spokesperson added, “Differential GPS Surveys are a correction method used to maintain the quality of location data accumulated by using the GPS (Global Positioning System) receivers. Differential correction can be done in real-time directly in the field or post-processing data in the office. Though both methods are based on the same underlying principles, each accesses different data sources and achieves different levels of accuracy.”

CXS offers a range of geological services in Canada. First, prospecting is used to search for mineral deposits in a place. Prospecting is generally performed by direct observation. This involves some research on what has historically been noted on the piece of ground. Then, the prospector physically investigates the soil and samples of favourable rock types that may be encountered. Line cutting is usually the first physical exploration work on a claim. There is a baseline through the middle of the survey area when line cutting, with a series of grid or wing lines running off the baseline at 90-degree angles. Wood pickets with written coordinates are placed on the ground at regular intervals. These pickets give explorationists a coordinate system that helps locate the features on maps for further work.
