Home cooks compete to win $25,000
Miami, Florida Dec 28, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - Creator of flower and lifestyle business, Sweet Pea Gardens (Surry, Maine), Susan Keating now living in Miami, Florida is on a new Netflix Cooking show "COOK AT ALL COSTS" streaming worldwide! Keating is featured with two other cast mates, Beth Fuller and Stephaughn Patterson. In this kitchen contest, home cooks bid on ingredients to create dishes that will impress celebrity guest judges -- and win the cash left in their bank.
After running her business for 20 years on the coast of Maine, Keating sold Sweet Pea Gardens when she returned to NYC. Sue freelanced with florists in the city for a few years but also dove deep into cooking, her other passion.
Keating's college roommate sent her a casting ad for the new Netflix program featuring home cooks. After a rigorous application process lasting several months, she was one of 24 people selected out of a pool of several thousand. In April she learned that she would be competing in the American Diner episode with celebrity chef and restauranteur Richard Blais (judge) and celebrity chef and restaurateur Jordan Andino (host). Filming took place over several days in Toronto.
Keating said, "The entire experience energized my passion for food and cooking. I felt like I had won before even filming and competing as I got to spend months pouring through cookbooks, learning and practicing cooking techniques all day. I despise the term "retiring" and prefer "evolving". I am in love with my new day job!! I am beyond grateful for the opportunity I was selected for! I have a couple of new ideas for cooking shows where I see a need...Producers ...call me!!"
Keating is a floral and lifestyle maven and has been featured in Martha Stewart Living, Garden Design, Country Living, FLOWER, and many other magazines over the years for her Sweet Pea Gardens business and is evolving into a home cook phenom and self-taught artist.
