LED Light Expert has been named to The San Diego Business Journal’s Fastest Growing Companies List for the fourth time.
Every year the San Diego Business Journal ranks and awards companies based on their percent of verified revenue growth. To be considered for the list, San Diego Business Journal says that, “companies must be privately held, based in San Diego County and have earned at least $300,000 in revenue in 2020."
LED Light Expert was founded by Dara Greaney in 2015. Greaney was motivated to create LED Light Expert due to his personal frustration with the limited availability of cost-effective and dependable LED lighting solutions in the market. His goal was to offer consumers a superior choice compared to the expensive or subpar products commonly found. LED Light Expert initially began as a modest online store but rapidly evolved into one of the foremost suppliers of LED lighting in the country. The company has been on the INC 5000 list, a prestigious award that honors entrepreneurial success, three times in 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Dara Greaney is the CEO and founder of LEDLightExpert.com, an e-commerce lighting retailer. Previously, Greaney was the CEO and Co-Founder at BuyAutoParts.com, an e-commerce auto parts retailer. He is a nine-time INC5000 CEO and expert in growing products and brands that resonate with customers.
Greaney is a hands-on leader with LED expertise in lighting design and lighting products and over 20 years of e-commerce, business strategy, and marketing experience. Under Greaney’s Ieadership, LEDLightExpert has been a three-time INC5000 winner. While CEO of BuyAutoParts.com, they were named in the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies List from 2011 to 2015. Greaney has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Marketing and Finance and a Master’s in Business Marketing and Entrepreneurship.
