Millbrook Joins "Homes For Our Troops" As A Sponsor - Building Homes & Rebuilding Lives for Severely Disabled Veterans

MILLBROOK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / April 18, 2022 / Millbrook, a leading provider of healthcare staffing services to commercial clients and government agencies, today announced it has joined forces with Homes For Our Troops as a sponsor.

Millbrook, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), supplies Physicians, Nurses, Advanced Practice Providers and Allied Healthcare staffing services. Millbrook is led by Andrew "Andy" Doro, CEO, MS, 1st LT, USA, Ret.

"Millbrook is finding new ways to give back to those who have given so much to our country as our founder & CEO Andy Doro did himself," said James L. Paterek, Chief Strategy Officer. Millbrook believes it is important to recognize and support the heroes who fight to defend our country and protect the rights that we hold so dear. Unfortunately, veterans are commonly overlooked, particularly those who suffer severe injuries while serving their country.

Homes for Our Troops Support Veterans Who Have Suffered Injuries While Serving

There are many veterans who suffer serious injuries during tours of duty. Some of the injuries that veterans may suffer include multiple limb amputations, traumatic brain injuries, partial paralysis, and even full paralysis. Veterans already have a difficult time getting a job when they return from a Tour of Duty, and if they suffer serious injuries, they might have an even harder time supporting themselves.

The goal of Homes for Our Troops is to restore some of the freedom and independence that some veterans have lost as a result of their service. "When they are provided with homes, veterans have the opportunity to focus on their recovery and their families instead of having to worry about how they will put a roof over their heads," said Andy Doro.

Millbrook Understands the Plight of Soldiers and Veterans

Andrew Doro understands just how important it is for Millbrook to fulfill its mission because Millbrook is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business. With this perspective, the leaders of Millbrook understand the heartache and plight that these veterans go through every day. Sometimes, people simply need a helping hand to support them during a difficult time, and that is exactly what Homes for Our Troops will do.

The Mission of Homes for Our Troops

The goal of the Homes for Our Troops program is twofold. First, the goal is to provide veterans with homes that have been customized to meet their needs. Different injuries mean that different accommodations need to be provided, and the professionals with Homes for Our Troops will help veterans customize their homes to provide them with the assistance they require.

The other goal is to provide veterans with a home that does not require a mortgage payment. Some veterans can have a difficult time finding financing for a home, so instead of forcing veterans to take out a mortgage, Andrew Doro is using Homes for Our Troops to help veterans overcome this issue.

Looking to the Future of Millbrook and Homes for Our Troops

"This is a small gesture and it serves as a way to say thank you to the veterans who have given so much to everyone in our country. I want to thank my senior team, James Paterek and Michael Ferrentino for helping me to help others on this mission," commented Andy Doro.
