He obtained his law degree from Boston University School of Law. Upon graduating, he worked as an attorney with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in Washington, D.C.

Advancing to Notable Positions

It wasn't long before Mr. Veech advanced to significant positions, including a lengthy tenure as a managing director and head of the Americas region for Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners. He also held leadership positions at Marathon Capital Partners, as their managing partner and chief investment officer, Lehman Brothers, as their global head of project finance and managing director in their Private Equity Division, Salomon Brothers Inc., as their vice president of fixed income and as an attorney with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. He has served on numerous boards of directors for energy and infrastructure companies, including, among others, Höegh LNG Partners, Bayonne Energy Center and Brazos Midstream. As Mr. Veech transitioned in his career from law to investment banking to principal investing, he discovered a passion for sustainable infrastructure and ultimately assumed a leadership position with Sustainability Partners.

Mr. Veech credits his professional success to being blessed with a highly supportive spouse, as well as to his persistence and willingness to take on new challenges. He advises younger professionals who want to start their own business to do so early on in their careers. Outside of work, Mr. Veech devotes his time to charitable activities, especially helping the special needs community. In his remaining free time, Mr. Veech enjoys travel, boating and music. He plays golf occasionally and poorly.
