About Mr. Quinn

Mr. Quinn earned a Bachelor of Science in economics from Southern Connecticut State University in 1976. At the time, computers were not yet a central part of educational offerings, but he used various computer programming applications to support his thesis on the relationship between homeowner pricing and inflation on homeowner insurance rates. Mr. Quinn has furthered his qualifications by earning designations as a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute and as a Certified Project Manager from the Project Management Leadership Group.

Mr. Quinn's early professional experience includes his time as a senior customer service analyst at Northrop Grumman Information Systems, where he worked from 1987 to 1997 and quickly demonstrated his expertise in technological advancements. As an integration manager at Cendant from 1997 to 2002, he played a pivotal role in developing the Cendant Help Desk and was a member of the IT merger team. In 2002, he joined IBM Global as a service delivery manager and remained there until 2003.

In 2004, Mr. Quinn briefly served as the northeast regional director for the Project Management Leadership Group before transitioning to a senior project manager role at Making Projects Work Inc., where he was employed from 2004 to 2013. In this capacity, he managed major renovation and development projects at New York-based airports. Throughout much of his career, from 1976 to 2018, Mr. Quinn fulfilled additional responsibilities as a supervisor at Snowlift LLC, where he helped direct snow removal operations at John F. Kennedy International Airport and was part of the recovery team after the crash landing of SAS Flight 901 in 1986. From 2013 to the present, he has led JFK Terminal 7 redevelopment, and has contributed to various redevelopment projects at LaGuardia Airport, JFK Airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport as well as the Broadridge Financial Solutions data center migration.

Outside of the Office

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Quinn is dedicated to community engagement. For nearly four decades, he has been actively involved with Scouting America, serving in various leadership roles, including district chairman, district commissioner and support military program chair for the Suffolk County Council. He has also made an impact through creative projects and publications, including his contributions to PMI's code of conduct in 2007. His professional and civic commitments have been recognized with various awards, including the Silver Beaver Award and the District Award of Merit from the Suffolk County Council.

Having faced the challenge of convincing companies or organizations to apply project management principles effectively, Mr. Quinn attributes his success to his determination to never give up. Additionally, as someone who has been both a business owner and an employee, he has dual insight, which has aided his professional success.
