Landmark Settlement
A standout achievement in the firm’s 2024 success includes a groundbreaking $44M settlement awarded to a client of Brandon J. Broderick, a construction worker who sustained catastrophic injuries while performing demolition work in 2018. The firm filed a lawsuit against several companies, including Superchute, the equipment manufacturer of the debris chute. After more than six years of litigation, the case resulted in a $44 million settlement package, illustrating the potential for substantial recovery in construction accident cases, and the largest settlement secured by Brandon J. Broderick in any legal case to date.
Expanded Services and Practice Areas
This year, 2024, Brandon J. Broderick continued to diversify its expertise with the establishment of a Mergers and Acquisitions Department, led by Sandeep Masih, who has over three decades of experience in the field.
Additionally, the firm’s No-Fault/Personal Injury Protection (PIP) team, one of the most successful in New Jersey, has expanded into New York. First started in 2019, the PIP team has now grown to sixteen team members including four lawyers and 12 staff members and has since recovered more than $16 million in medical bills for the represented medical providers.
The PIP department now settles approximately 70 percent of its arbitrations, an uncommonly high success rate. This year, the PIP team hired two well-known attorneys, Timothy Valdez and Tracy Redmond, to foster New York arbitrations – both formerly worked for Farmers Insurance and have an advantage in understanding how to counter insurance companies that deny or underpay medical bills for clients. These expanded services are integral to the firm’s strategy of integrating new practice areas, including plans for business litigation, health law, sexual abuse, vaccine injury, and real estate.
