Charles Schwab Provides 1+ Million Meals and Nonprofit Grants During Annual Season of Giving

Thousands of Schwab volunteers pack meals to uplift local communities

Continuing its commitment to investing in local communities across the country, Charles Schwab kicks off its annual Season of Giving program with thousands of employees packing more than one million nutritious meals to support their neighbors and communities.

Schwab’s Season of Giving program is designed to address hunger relief – a critical community need throughout the year – through both employee volunteerism and Charles Schwab Foundation grants. Efforts in 2025 included large-scale employee meal-packing events in partnership with hunger relief organizations, such as Harvest Pack and food banks across the country.

“Food insecurity is a challenge that affects far too many families,” said Chris Wyse, Charles Schwab Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and President and Chair of Charles Schwab Foundation. “At Schwab, we believe no one should have to choose between putting food on the table and meeting other essential needs. Our Season of Giving program helps us connect our employees and nonprofit partners to help meet an essential need and strengthen the communities we call home.”

This year’s campaign featured a variety of hunger-relief and community support efforts:

  • Meal donations: More than 4,000 Schwab employees joined forces to pack and distribute more than one million nutritious meals to families across the country.
  • Nonprofit grants: Charles Schwab Foundation awarded $300,000 in grants to organizations addressing hunger relief.
  • Volunteer engagement: Schwab employees dedicated nearly 8,000 hours to support their community food banks, soup kitchens, and local service projects during the holiday season.

“One in ten Americans experiences food insecurity,” said William McNally, Executive Director of Harvest Pack. “Partnerships with companies like Charles Schwab ensure that more families have access to healthy meals and support during the holidays and beyond.”

Schwab’s commitment to community impact extends well beyond the holiday season. In 2024, more than 12,000 Schwab employees volunteered to serve nearly 4,000 nonprofits nationwide. The company also empowers employees to serve their communities through paid volunteer time off, charitable donation matching, and training resources to make a lasting difference.
