Boston University Questrom School of Business Professor Gerry Tsoukalas Named to Thinkers50 Radar Class of 2025

Boston University Questrom School of Business announced today that Professor Gerry Tsoukalas was named to the Thinkers50 Radar Class of 2025 list, making him the sixth Questrom faculty member to be recognized by the Thinkers50 organization in recent years. The Thinkers50 Radar, which identifies promising thinkers whose ideas have the potential to greatly impact future management thinking, recognized Professor Tsoukalas for his work in AI, digital platforms, and analytics.

Tsoukalas, Associate Professor of Information Systems at Questrom School of Business, also serves as faculty director for Graduate Analytics. In addition, he holds secondary appointments as a senior fellow at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a fellow at IMD Business School, a fellow at the Luohan Academy, and a fellow at Fintech at Cornell. He is the co-founder of the Crypto and Blockchain Economics Research Forum, and holds a PhD in management science and engineering from Stanford University.

According to Thinkers50: “As AI and Web3 revolutionise industries, companies are awash in data but many fail to extract its real value, relying on outdated strategies and obsolete business models. Professor Tsoukalas’ research integrates domain expertise, data, and advanced models to reshape management thinking. By unifying these three elements, he argues, leaders can unlock transformative results, turn disruption into opportunity, and ensure their organisation not only survives but thrives in uncertain times.”

“I’m grateful to be included among this incredible group of thinkers and I would like to thank the Thinkers50 organization for this honor,” said Professor Tsoukalas.

Professor Tsoukalas now joins several Questrom School of Business faculty members who have been recognized by Thinkers50, including: Marshall Van Alstyne (Top 50 Thinkers), Paul Carlile, Constance Hadley, Nina Mazar, and Andrei Hagiu (all Thinkers50 Radar honorees). This growing list highlights the preeminent faculty to which Questrom School of Business is home, and showcases the impactful research and innovative ideas which Questrom School of Business exemplifies.

“This recognition of Professor Tsoukalas for his important work in AI and digital analytics is proof of the world-class faculty here at Questrom,” said Susan Fournier, Allen Questrom Professor and Dean of Questrom School of Business. “At Questrom, we are proud to have many of the best and most innovative management thinkers anywhere in the world of business.”
