Dr. Wendy Arnold, Founder and CEO of Dr. WAVE, Inc, was recently chosen to receive the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for 2023 by the International Association of Top Professionals.
While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in and of itself, only a few select members are chosen for the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. These special honorees are selected to receive this award based on their longevity in their fields, their contributions to society, and their impact on their industries. Dr. Wendy Arnold will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award this December at IAOTP's 2023 Annual Awards Gala at the iconic Plaza Hotel in NYC.
Dr. Arnold has over two decades of experience as a Military Officer, Surgeon, Instructor, and Coach, proving herself to be an exceptional professional and expert in the industry. She is a proactive, results-oriented leader who has excelled not just as an Integrative Medical Professional but in every capacity she has had. Dr. Wendy's Achieve Vitality Experience (Dr. WAVE) was founded and led by Dr. Arnold. She has taught and coached aspiring leaders in the military and business sectors in areas such as leadership development and health in order to improve their job performance and quality of life.
Board Certified in Integrative Medicine, Medical Acupuncture, Academic Medicine, Public Speaking, Coaching, and Nutrition are among Dr. Arnold's areas of experience.
Dr. Arnold earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Journalism before beginning her professional career as a trusted Physician and Surgeon. She continued her education and earned enough credits to enter Uniformed Services University, where she earned a Medical Degree in 2008. This university offers more credit hours than any other conventional American medical school. Her further training includes simulated combat entomology, parasitology, and trauma training. Dr. Arnold received her Family Medicine Board Certification in 2011. During her residency, she was chosen to participate in Medical Acupuncture Training. Following this accomplishment, she completed an Obstetric Fellowship and went on to get a second Board Certification in Integrative Medicine. Her diverse upbringing leads her to use, understand, and appreciate drugs and procedures, yet she prefers alternative health and wellness practices wherever available.
Dr. Wendy Arnold has consistently succeeded as a Marine and Naval Officer, as well as a Marine Special Operations Task Force Surgeon in Afghanistan. She is an award-winning teacher and leader who is well-equipped to lead under pressure. She has served as Series Commander and Executive Officer throughout recruit training, and she has led multiple teams of Drill Instructors. She was the Student Company Commander for the full four years of Medical School. During her stint as graduate medical education faculty, she was appointed Associate Program Director, where she was in charge of administrative supervision and mentoring for approximately 40 Family Medical Resident Physicians. Dr. Arnold is now serving in the Navy as the Force Surgeon for the 1st Marine Logistics Group. She is the Commanding General's (CEO equivalent) special staff adviser for all medical operations and readiness (deployability and wellness) that affects 8,500 people and has a $100 million yearly budget.
Dr. Wendy Arnold has garnered several honors and distinctions during her amazing career, and she has been acknowledged in various journals and periodicals globally for her excellent leadership positions and devotion to the Integrative Medicine profession. The International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) named her Top Physician of the Year in Integrative Medicine for 2020. The International forum on Advancements in Healthcare (IFAH) Awarded her as a Top 100 Healthcare leaders in 2021. That same year the Continental Who’s Who selected her as a Top Professional and Pinnacle Professional member. When she graduated from the Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune in 2011, she received the Inaugural Resident Teaching Award. During her three years as the Faculty and Associate Program Director at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton's Graduate Medical Education (GME), she received the Family Medicine Staff of the Year Award all three years. She will be recognized in December at the IAOTP's annual awards ceremony at the NYC Plaza Hotel for receiving the coveted Lifetime Achievement award.
Dr. Arnold, in addition to her successful profession, is a faculty Advisor for the Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics Course, which allows her to begin training and host teachers globally. She is an auricular acupuncture educator who shares her knowledge with practitioners all around the globe. Dr. Arnold's integrative approach to pain care has made her a popular speaker at the National Family Medicine Conference. The Director of Emergency Medicine in Buenos Aires invited her to talk on trauma and disaster medicine in Argentina. Dr. Arnold was also named Assistant Clinical Professor at Rocky Vista University in Colorado for her contributions and published research on their medical students, as well as for her instruction of medical students at Strategic Operations in San Diego, CA.
Dr. Arnold credits her success to her dedication, bravery, and the mentors she has had along the road. She has a genuine desire to help others and a high level of honesty in all of her professional and personal pursuits. She likes training her German Shepherd and riding her sports motorcycles on racetracks when she is not working. She aims to continue making a difference in people's lives and to assist healthcare become more Integratively oriented in the future.
