Author Beverlee McGrath Announces Upcoming Children’s Book Finding Beverlee

By: Get News

A moving true story about compassion, resilience, and the extraordinary bond between a woman and her special-needs dog. Author and lifelong animal advocate Beverlee McGrath is preparing to release her newest children’s book, Finding Beverlee, a heartwarming true story that celebrates second chances, unconditional love, and the healing power of the human-animal bond.

At the center of Finding Beverlee is Scarlett, a blind and deaf Yorkshire Terrier who also suffered from chronic skin allergies and ear infections. Found abandoned and wandering the streets, Scarlett’s fate changed when Beverlee asked her local shelter for “an older dog that no one wants.” From that moment, Scarlett gave her unwavering devotion, following Beverlee everywhere and bringing love and comfort into her life.

Through Scarlett’s journey, young readers are encouraged to see the beauty in imperfection and to recognize the unique gifts that animals with special needs can bring into our lives. From her roots on a Washington farm to her influential work as a lobbyist for national animal organizations, Beverlee McGrath has spent her life fighting for animal welfare. She later founded “Crops and Critters,” a sanctuary on her strawberry ranch where rescued farm animals find safety and love. By welcoming schoolchildren to the farm, Beverlee inspires compassion, empathy, and awareness for animals among the next generation.

McGrath is also the author of A True Story of Tiny Timm and A Village Called Hope, both of which share real-life tales of animals overcoming hardship and finding love. Finding Beverlee continues her mission to shine a light on resilience, kindness, and the deep connection between people and animals.

Finding Beverlee is now available for pre-order on Amazon and other online retailers. To learn more about Beverlee’s work, visit www.beverleemcgrathcropsandcritters.com
