TORONTO, ON / ACCESSWIRE / September 15, 2020 / Statement by Brian Kingston, President & CEO of the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers' Association:

"The CVMA welcomes the U.S. announcement that it will resume duty-free trade of non-alloyed, unwrought aluminum retrospective to September 1, 2020. We appreciate the Canadian government's efforts to resolve this trade issue which added unnecessary costs to manufacturers on both sides of the border."

"The CVMA encourages the Canadian government to remain engaged with the U.S. to promote the importance of the highly integrated North American automotive manufacturing industry and avoid additional trade barriers that threaten economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic."
