(MarketWatch) â Miley Cyrus is giving away a total of $1 million worth of stock in partnership with Square Inc.âsÂ Cash App, the âParty in the U.S.A.â singer tweeted on Wednesday.Â
âNothing is more important than investing in yourself,â the artist and daughter of country music star Billy Ray Cyrus wrote in a post shared on her official TwitterÂ account. âI want to spread ownership to as many people as I can.âÂ

So Cyrus, who is celebrating the 15th anniversary of her breakout DisneyÂ series âHannah Montana,â has teamed up with Cash App to give out a total of $1 million in stock.
People interested in getting some of the free stock are asked to share their Cash App username and their favorite company or stock in the comments on any one of the singerâs social media posts on Twitter and Instagram.Â Winners will be selected at random. Cash App, which was developed by Square, is a mobile payment serviceÂ that allows people to invest money.
Miley also tweeted out a âMy First Stockâ slideshow with Cash App that walks newbies through investing 101.
Some of the early responses beneath Cyrusâs tweet include plenty of people flagging TeslaÂ and AppleÂ as the companies theyâd love to own shares in.
Shortly after Cyrus announced the partnership, some people began sharing on Twitter that they have received stock from the singer and Cash App. Most reported getting $50 in stock, although at least one person shared a screenshot showing they had received $100. Last August, rapper Megan Thee Stallion also partnered with the personal finance app to celebrate her âWAPâ single with Cardi B byÂ giving away $1 million to fansÂ using the app.Â
