Wabtec reaches 1,000 completed locomotive modernizations in North and South America

Modernizations of older locomotives can result in up to a 25% improvement in fuel efficiency and up to a 55% increase in haulage ability while at the same time resulting in a 20% decrease in maintenance, repair and other overhaul expenses following the modernization process, Wabtec said.
