SEPTEMBER 7, 2022 – After six years of research and development, Vanquishers Trading Card Game (TCG) is preparing for a nationwide release. Simulating a first-person shooter game, Vanquishers asks players to choose a hero, build a deck, and battle each other head-to-head.
Vanquishers enters a market dominated by fantasy elements. But instead of wizards and warlocks, players will find futurism and science fiction in the cards. The developers think this will be a major advantage.
“When you look at what card players have today, nobody is offering a highly polished, sci-fi experience,” said Jason Bratlien, Co-Creator, and Chief Marketing Officer. “We know this is a popular genre of art and literature, and we think consumers will be excited to finally see an engaging and challenging card game with this style.”
The Vanquishers team envisions their game played in competitive tournaments, casually with friends, and avidly collected. The game will be sold with starter decks ready to play, and booster packs for collectors and players to grow their decks.
“There will be chase cards that collectors will want, and there will be cards with powerful gameplay mechanics that players will want,” said Bratlien. “This is a game designed by card players, so we know what makes people excited and we want people to value the cards they own.”
Based out of Tampa, Florida, the startup behind the new card game has already contracted with industry-leading production facilities and believes their market research and unique product offering will spell immediate success.
“With card games, nothing else matters if players are not having fun, and so making a unique and enjoyable experience was absolutely our first step,” said Charlie Correa, Co-Creator and Chief Graphics Designer. “Once we had the game mechanics ironed out, the next step was marketing and production, and we are so excited about the partnerships we have already secured.”
The team plans to provide a detailed view into their operation during an upcoming Kickstarter campaign.
“We feel further ahead than most games at this stage, as we already have communicated our roadmap and have contracted major production partners,” said Bratlien. “Kickstarter makes a lot of sense for an initial round of funding, and we expect our customers will feel very confident about supporting us when they see how robust our business plan already is.”
