Maryland Army National Guard Brig. to Keynote Women 2 Watch

Maryland Army National Guard Brig. Gen. Janeen L. Birckhead, the newly confirmed 31st adjutant general of Maryland, will keynote the Women 2 Watch Summit, sponsored by the 38th Women of Color STEM Conference on May 5 at 10:00 am.

BALTIMORE - April 29, 2023 - PRLog -- Maryland Army National Guard Brig. Gen. Janeen L. Birckhead, the newly confirmed 31st adjutant general of Maryland, will keynote the Women 2 Watch Summit, sponsored by the 38th Women of Color STEM Conference on May 5 at 10:00 am.

The Women 2 Watch Summit is a premier event for women in STEM, and Brig. Gen. Birckhead's keynote address will be a highlight of the conference. Her leadership experience and extensive knowledge within the Maryland Army National Guard will bring invaluable expertise to this important event.

"I am honored Brig. Gen Birckhead will keynote the Women 2 Watch Summit and to have the opportunity to speak to so many talented women in STEM," said Nikki Stevens, W2W event planner. Brig. Gen. Birckhead's impressive career includes serving as the commander of the Maryland Army National Guard, leading 14,000 National Guard troops from across the nation providing security for the Inauguration at the U.S. Capitol after the attacks of Jan. 6, 2021, and being appointed as the governor's lead for Maryland's Vaccine Equity Task Force.

The Women 2 Watch Summit will take place on May 5, and registration is open to all interested participants. The conference is an opportunity for women in STEM to connect, share experiences, and learn from each other's successes.
